MCI brought the Lake Michigan coast to the desert for a recently retired couple new to Phoenix. With a coastal beach cottage in mind, the MCI team blended a beachy color palette with mid-century architecture and decor to suit the era of the home. This massive remodel maximized storage and seating while still preserving many of the original mid-century details. We opened up the wall between the kitchen and the family room to allow for big family dinners. The remodel was a hit with even the tiniest family members, who love to play in the Tupperware storage drawer, which was strategically placed down low to allow for maximum fun at Nana's house.
